Presented a new local brand for authentic local products from Balearic Islands

The Government of the Balearic Islands, to which AETIB (partner of the REVIVE project) belongs, presented yesterday the new local product brand responding to a historical demand from the primary sector of the Balearic Islands, which requests an identification for local products to enhance their value and differentiate them from the rest.

The logo is an adaptation of the one used by the Ministry of Tourism (AETIB) to promote the Balearic Islands as tourist destination, because it is a recognized brand that is directly related to the Balearic Islands and this will facilitate the relationship of the product with its origin and its implementation in the market.

This brand will be used by agricultural, fishing and forestry producers, operators of the agri-food industry, food distribution and retail traders but also, by tourist establishments, catering establishments and public or private entities, in actions aimed at promoting the production, distribution, marketing or consumption of local products produced in the Balearic Islands.

This action is part of activities developed by AETIB together with the General Directorate of Agri-Food Quality and Local Products to promote, publicize and boost the consumption of agri-food products from the Balearic Islands, an objective that is in line with the REVIVE project.
