Interreg Euro-MED - REVIVE

Developing Community Based Innovative Business Models for the Revival of the Internal Areas in the Mediterranean (REVIVE) is funded under the Innovative Sustainable Economy Mission of the Interreg Euro-MED Programme. REVIVE aims to strengthen innovation capacities and support the uptake of advanced technologies in Mediterranean inland areas through community-based innovative business models, stakeholder cooperation, digital innovation and sustainable local development.

The REVIVE project brings together 12 partners and 10 associated organisations from 9 Mediterranean countries, working together to tackle common challenges such as depopulation, limited economic opportunities, weak digitalisation and social fragmentation in rural and inland territories.

Building on the successful pilot activities implemented in seven Mediterranean territories (test phase), REVIVE is now entering its Transfer Phase, focusing on the adaptation, uptake and replication of its tested solutions in eight new receiver territories across the Euro-MED area. Through capacity building, stakeholder engagement, peer learning and mentoring, the project supports the development of Innovative Community Cooperatives (ICCs), community-based business models and digital innovation services that create sustainable economic opportunities and strengthen territorial resilience.

REVIVE promotes long-term cooperation between public authorities, businesses, research organisations and civil society, contributing to more competitive, innovative and resilient inland ecosystems throughout the Mediterranean.

Total budget: € 3,180,000.00

Project duration: January 2024 – March 2028 (51 months)

Interreg Funds: € 2,544,000.00
