Strengthening inland communities through collaboration, sustainability and innovation

19/06/2026

Developed within the REVIVE project, the poster “Integrating Collaboration, Sustainability and Innovation in Inland Regeneration: The Territorial Business Model Approach” was presented at the 11th International Symposium “Monitoring of Mediterranean Coastal Areas: Problems and Measurement Techniques” organized by the National Research Council of Italy – Institute of BioEconomy (CNR-IBE) in collaboration with Italian Society of Silviculture and Forest Ecology (SISEF) in Livorno, Italy from 16-18 June, 2026

The poster presents the work carried out within the REVIVE project, exploring how the Territorial Business Model  can support the regeneration of inland areas by fostering collaboration among local stakeholders, promoting sustainable innovation, and creating new development opportunities for local communities.

A special focus was dedicated to the Tuscan pilot area of the Montagna Pistoiese, where the REVIVE approach has been applied to enhance local resources, strengthen community involvement, and support more sustainable forms of tourism and entrepreneurship.

Particular attention was devoted to the Tuscan pilot area of the Montagna Pistoiese, where the REVIVE approach contributed to the creation of the Food Community, a collaborative network bringing together local producers, tourism operators, associations, and institutions around a shared vision for territorial development. This experience demonstrates how cooperation and local identity can become key drivers for strengthening communities and enhancing local resources.
