The REVIVE project meeting in Maribor on November 13-14, 2024, highlighted ongoing communication activities including an established project website and active social media channels. The meeting progressed with presentations on Collaborative Economy Business Models under Work Package 2, focusing on engagement and community participation, with all deliverables including the REVIVE. Discussions also covered the development of Mediterranean Digital Innovation Hubs (WP3), aimed at enhancing digital skills and integrating advanced technologies such as blockchain, VR, and AR across the project’s ICCs. This included setting up digital labs and immersive experiences to support regional development initiatives in agriculture, tourism, and innovative business sectors. Each region presented their strategies for utilizing these technologies to foster connectivity between sectors and improve local economies, with plans to further develop a common data integration platform for monitoring innovative supply chain processes.
The second day of the meeting featured study visits to the Kocbek oil mill, renowned for its pumpkin seed oil products, the Cajnica Kolaric, a beekeeping and herb farm and showcasing sustainable business practices, and concluded with discussions at the Pri Cesarski Lipi restaurant by the historic more than 144 years old Imperial Linden Tree in Jarenina, These visits provided practical insights into local production and commerce, reinforcing the project’s themes of regional cooperation and sustainability.
The meeting concluded with administrative discussions on reporting and upcoming commitments, including the transnational exchange in Tuscany scheduled for March 2025, which promises further collaborative opportunities and knowledge sharing among partners.
