The City of Buzet (Croatia) and the Municipality of Kriva Palanka (Republic of North Macedonia) are stakeholders in the REVIVE project’s pilot areas, where innovative business models are planned to be implemented. Their first contact was established during a project meeting on the island of Leros in Greece, attended by representatives from Buzet, as well as from Kriva Palanka.
Recognizing mutual similarities and interests resulted in the signing of an initiative to establish cooperation and friendship between these two local government units. Their collaboration will be based on the preparation and implementation of projects funded by European Union funds and other sources, particularly in the areas of the environment, sports and youth, economic, social, educational, cultural, communal, and humanitarian activities. In the initial phase, the partnership will focus on gastronomy and tourism, and the first planned steps are the creation of a joint project.
This initiative demonstrates how REVIVE connects rural communities, fostering friendship and collaboration with the goal of their further progress.
