On October 4th, 2025, the official public presentation of the Food Community of the Pistoiese Apennines took place, a concrete result of the participatory processes carried out within the framework of the REVIVE project, in the Italian pilot area.
The event, hosted at La Grande Baita in Doganaccia (Abetone-Cutigliano Municipality), was a meaningful occasion for sharing and dialogue. During the day, the members of the Community were officially introduced, its objectives were presented, and several institutional representatives delivered speeches highlighting its importance for the local area. After the presentations, participants were invited to take part in a tasting itinerary featuring typical products from the Pistoia Mountains, offered by the member of the community.
The Food Community was established with the aim of bringing together farms, associations, and businesses linked to local traditional products, promoting the valorisation of territorial resources and strengthening the identity bond within the mountain community. The initiative was not only an opportunity to promote and disseminate the goals of this new reality, but also to invite citizens and local operators to become part of a project that looks to the future while keeping deep roots in local tradition.
