Online webinar-Digital Innovation Hubs: an introduction

02/07/2025

On 2nd July 2025, Chamber of Commerce of Mallorca within the REVIVE project, co-financed by the Interreg Euro MED programme, successfully hosted an online webinar focused on introducing the concept and mission of Digital Innovation Hubs (DIHs) in the context of the Mediterranean region. The session gathered 56 participants from across Europe, including representatives from public authorities, regional agencies, SMEs, cooperatives, academia, and civil society.

The objective was to raise awareness on how DIHs, defined by the European Commission can support the digital and green transitions, particularly for agri-food producers, cooperatives, and rural communities. Participants learned about existing DIHs in the Mediterranean region, discussed practical approaches, and engaged in an interactive Q&A session.

About the REVIVE Project – Interreg Euro-MED programme

The REVIVE project brings together stakeholders from agriculture, food production, tourism, and the cultural and creative industries across seven Mediterranean regions. The project fosters collaboration, supports the development of innovative solutions and technologies, and promotes sustainable, community-driven regional revitalization.

REVIVE will establish collaborative spaces and pilot initiatives that identify local challenges, priorities, and practical solutions. These innovations will be showcased through the creation of a Mediterranean Digital Innovation Hub, enabling replication and scaling across other regions.

The Chamber of Commerce of Mallorca, one of the REVIVE partners, coordinates the Digital Innovation Hub of the Balearic Islands (DIHBAI-TUR), connecting key players in the local innovation ecosystem.
