On 30th January, 2025 Balearic Islands Agency for Tourism AETIB participated in this networking workshop, supported by four municipalities, Balearic Islands Government, agrifood producers and organized by Mallorca Rural (local action group that dynamizes rural areas) in cooperation with APAEMA (local producers), both entities are stakeholders of REVIVE project in Pla de Mallorca pilot area.
The aim of the Workshop is to promote the consumption of local agri-food products and to facilitate commercial agreements between producers and establishments that value proximity products.
32 local producers of vegetables, cheese, sausages, meats, wines, oil met 36 potential clients from hotels, agritourism, restaurants and local shops, using a speed dating business face-to-face meetings.
Initiatives like this one are important for Mallorca Chamber of Commerce and AETIB since they encourage raising awareness on agrifood local products and promoting their consumption in the tourism sector which is the aim of REVIVE pilot project in the Pla de Mallorca.
