In a period from 13-14 November, 2024 the Third Technical and Steering Committee Meeting was held in Maribor and its vicinity in Slovenia and organized by our partner E-zavod. We had a wonderful experience with the REVIVE project in Slovenia. Apart from our official meeting and agreement on the next steps we experienced some wonderful places that emphasize tradition and heritage! Visiting family-run businesses and learning about traditional crafts have given a deep insight into Slovenian culture.
Here are some highlights from the visit:
-Kocbek oil mill -third generation of family business, producers of the high quality pumpkin hot pressing oil – traditional production process and cold-pressing.
-Beekeeping and Herbs Kolarič – The Kolarič family preserves folk heritage, preserves old seeds, takes care of bees and conducts workshops on the knowledge of herbs and herbal preparation
-Gostilna Pri Cesarski Lipi, Jarenina -rural household preparing traditional local dishes.
